Daily Fantasy Sports Under Fire

The Attorney General of New York has issued cease and desist orders to Draft Kings and Fan Duel stating that:

“Our investigation has found that, unlike traditional fantasy sports, daily fantasy sports companies are engaged in illegal gambling under New York law, causing the same kinds of social and economic harms as other forms of illegal gambling, and misleading New York consumers.” (A.G. Schneiderman, 2015)

I believe this opens up the conversation again regarding what is a game of skill versus a game of chance.

Can poker jump on the coattails (and money power) of daily fantasy sports to prove that both are a game of skill?
