Phil Ivey boycotts WSOP, Sues Tiltware

Stating that he is “deeply disappointed and embarrassed that Full Tilt players have not been paid money they are owed”, Phil Ivey has decided to both sue Tiltware (the parent company of FullTilt) and boycott this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP).

His suit against Tiltware is based on players not receiving their account money back yet from FullTilt – a direct result of the U.S. Department of Justice’s actions on “Black Friday”, April 15th when they seized several online poker domains and various bank accounts.
He states that he will not be playing in this year’s WSOP “as I do not believe it is fair that I compete when others cannot.”  You can see Ivey’s full statement at his website.
