Our own Karaoke Phil played event #7 of the Midwest Poker Classic taking down 7th place out of a field of 47 and just making the payouts.
For chip count buffs – he built his starting stack of 15,000 chips to about 18,500 at the first break (end of level 3). Increased that to 46,000 by second break (end of level 6). From levels 7 to 12 he moved between 65,500 and 127,000ending level 12 with 121,000 and was either 1st or 2nd in chip stack with 10 players remaining.
Ultimately, a bad play at the final table with 8 players remaining (level13) really hurt Karaoke’s stack – dropping him to about 35,000 chips. He survived the bubble and busted out during level 14.
We wish him luck at this week’s OH8 tourney at Canterbury Park’s Fall Poker Classic. Head on out on Thursday and join him in the tournament.
